Roulette has some of the worst odds of all of the casino games. It can be a fun game if you have lots of money to play around with.

There's not much of a strategy to it since the odds are so bad, but never just bet one chip on a single number. The roulette board has 36 numbers consisting of 19 red and 18 black. There are two other spaces which consist of green zero and double zero (some wheels only have a single zero and not the double zero - this increases your odds, so play that one if you find it).

The game begins when a ball is spun around a wheel of numbers spinning the opposite way. The table is open for bets until the ball starts slowing down and the dealer says "no more bets". Some of the bets a player can make are black, red, or green. Black and red pay 1 to 1, and green pays 18 to 1. Also, a player can bet on an odd or even number. Zero and double zero are automatic losers for either one of these. Column and row bets are also accepted. If any number in the column or row is hit, the player wins 2 to 1. Again, green is an automatic loser.

Other bets available are the number bets. You can bet that the ball will land on a certain number. This bet pays 35 to 1. You can bet on two numbers by placing your chip on the line between two numbers. This bet pays 17 to 1 if the ball hits either number. You can also put a chip in between four numbers. The payout is 8 to 1 if any of the four are hit. Again, this game is easy, but the odds are highly against you. If you want to make money, play blackjack or craps.
