Hello again - sorry it's been so long since the last update. We usually try to get an update out about twice a month - we left the first one of this year up for a month since it was the year in review. We left the last one up for a month because I've been so busy with work lately I haven't had a chance to write it. You may think we've got lots to cover since it's been so long, but this one should be pretty short - we haven't been too busy, but we are about to be.

We've only done a few things since the last update. We went out to a nice Indian dinner with Justin and Rachael in Twickenham. Twickenham is just across the Thames River from Richmond, towards the west. They used to live over there, so they knew it was a good place to go for Indian food - and we have to agree - it was delicious!

Jill and I headed up to a place called Parliament Hill - it's in Hampstead Heath and there's a great view of London from the top of the hill. While in Hampstead, we stumbled across a store - I was getting cookies and Jill disappeared. After I downed about a dozen chocolate chip, I decided to go find out what was going on - I thought she might have found a purse sale or some shoes for half price. I find her in the back room - her hands were full - jackpot! She found an American food section - this is HUGE - after a year of living over here and missing good ole US food, this is a great find - she had Reese's Cups, Mac and Cheese, Oreos, pickles, etc. - all the stuff you guys back home take for granted - I know we'll appreciate all of the things we have taken for granted when we move back!

We also went to the London Transport Museum - a few interesting facts - The London Underground (the tube) is one of the largest and oldest in the world. There are over 240 miles of track, 500 trains, and 270 tube stations. Over 2 million people use the tube everyday for work - that's about 22,500 per hour! There are over 780 million journeys taken on this system per year. The only reason the tubes don't run 24 hours a day is so they can work on the tracks for maintenance.

We've been hanging out with Justin and Rachael a lot this year so far. We've all started playing squash - this is the closest we can get to racquetball over here - the ball is smaller, the rackets are smaller, and the ball doesn't bounce much - at all - if you drop a rock on concrete, it would bounce more than squash balls. It's a fun game though - great cardio workout.

We've also all been playing lots of poker tournaments (Texas Hold 'Em). I've got to get my practice in because all my boys back home have been playing a lot and I've got to be able to compete when I get back. Jill's getting pretty good - she won the tournament the other day - how scary is that? Jill beats me a poker. Speaking of Jill and poker, she went on a poker shoot - there's a company that sells pictures of people playing poker to online casinos for their advertising campaigns. What's wrong with this picture? Jill gets paid to play poker all day long! I was jealous! She's going to be on the Basil Brush TV show again as well - they'll be recording today.

We hope you all had a good St. Patrick's Day - we went up to a local pub in Richmond with Justin and Rachael and had a couple pints of Guinness for the occasion. They do wear green on this day, but they've never heard of pinching people who don't. We thought that was interesting - we've grown up all of our lives thinking this was part of the original celebration.

It snowed for about 6 days straight a few weeks ago - not much, but that gives you an idea of how cold it's been. This past weekend was much different though - the temperature was in the 60s and 70s - NICE! I actually went out and played golf with some blokes from work. The weather over here is this way - one extreme to the other - I was wearing thermals to work one week, and people were laying out by the river the next. It will get a little colder this week, but I think the worst part of the winter is over. We're looking forward to longer days and nice weather. Our clocks go up an hour on Sunday - I think this is one week ahead of the States - so please keep that in mind if you call us that week (uh-um, Shae).

We recently found out that Shae is having another boy - she'll really be outnumbered now! She's due in July. We're excited for you and Billy! Our nephew Landon has been calling us lately - how fun is that? He's getting so big! He'll be two in a week! Speaking of birthdays, we'd like to send my dad a Happy Birthday! Today he turns, well, I can't count that high! Just kidding - happy birthday dad! We'd also like to extend our congratulations to my cousin Danny and his wife Debbie - they just had another beautiful little girl - Addison Catherine Beard. She was born on March 11 and weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 19 1/2 inches long. We are excited for you all!

We'll be very busy over the next month - Justin and Rachael are taking us up to Liverpool this weekend - we're going to spend a four day Easter holiday up there - and we may go to Manchester as well. Then, Jackie and Mike come to visit - we're all going to Wales and Barcelona while they're here - during the week, they're taking Jill with them up to Scotland while I work - but I won't be missing out - the next weekend Jill and I are going to St. Andrew's in Scotland with Grant and Kelly - to my boys back home - yep, we're playing golf in St. Andrews - two different courses. Then next week, my mom, dad, aunt, and uncle are coming to visit. We're so excited that they're finally getting to come over here. We're all going to go to Paris and Normandy during their visit. I'll try to keep the updates coming, but it will be tough with all of this traveling. We hope you all have a great Easter holiday as we remember what Jesus did for all of us. Take care and God bless!
