Did everyone eat their pancakes on Shrove Tuesday (Feb. 28th)? Jill made some US pancakes and Justin and Rachel made some UK style - then we had a swap. The UK pancakes are very thin, like crepes, but very good. Jill made me some special "chocolate chip" pancakes - delicious! For those of you in the south, we hope you're enjoying the nice weather - meanwhile, it's been hanging around 32 degrees here all year.

We have just been messing around London since our last update. We spent one Saturday in Kensington shopping on the High Street (well, Jill shopped and I read a book). We went by and saw one of Jimmy Page's houses while we were in the area (Led Zeppelin's guitarist) - I was really pumped about this because Led Zeppelin is my favorite band.

You may remember that one of our favorite restaurants in the world is Relais de l' Entrecote in Paris. As soon as you walk in, you are asked how you would like your steak cooked. They serve two helpings of steak and fries in their secret sauce, and a salad to start - that's all - nothing else on the menu besides dessert. Well, we just hit the jackpot - London has this restaurant as well. We went as soon as we found out, and it is delicious! Anybody that comes and visits will be taken here for sure. We're already planning on taking my parents there next week, and there's one in Switzerland too, so we'll be having it in Geneva this weekend as well.

Speaking of good food, we finally had a famous Sunday roast at one of the pubs near us (The White Horse). It was so good that we went and had another one at The Marlborough the next weekend. Now we see why this is such a big deal around England - we'll probably do this at least twice a month until we move back.

It's starting to hit us that our time here is counting down fast. We decided to walk around Richmond and take pictures of the things we see all of the time and our favorite places. We made a loop around Richmond - we started off at our flat, walked up the street, through the gardens, along the river, through the High Street, and back to our place from the other end of our road. Even though we see this stuff every day, we'll be glad to look back on it after we move home. And for all of you that weren't able to come and visit, please check out the pictures so you can see where we live and get a little bit of the "Richmond feel".

We hung out in London this past weekend - walked and shopped around Covet Garden, stopped off at a pub in Charing Cross, and finished with a dinner in China Town. That's about all we've been up to since the last update. We're starting to pack for our Switzerland trip - we leave on Thursday, ski for two days, and then meet my parents (and aunt, uncle, and cousin) in Geneva. We'll all come back to London after that, hang out here for the week, then go up to Scotland the next weekend. We'll fill you in with the details on the next update.

Congratulations to Ryan and Amanda Knerr - Anna Michael was born on February 20th; and to Ben and Sarah Teixeira - Riley was born on February 6th. Also, congrats to Heather for making the Varsity soccer team at Oak Mountain High School, and to Ashley for making the Pantherettes Dance Team at Pelham High School! We are very happy for all of you!

Until next time, we hope you all stay healthy and safe, and we hope to hear from you. If you've missed some updates, you can catch up here. We love and miss you all - take care and God bless!
